Last month, I was in Wildwood, NJ Playing mini golf with my wife and kids. At first, I thought a pedestrian got hit by a bike, but it turned out that the bike was stolen. The pedestrian was the owner and he was out looking for it. He ripped the guy off of it and started throwing punches. They had a little tussle in the street and the thief ran off without his hat. Then the bike owner chased after him on the bike.
My dad did something similar once. He had lost his license and his bike was his only way around. He used the bus too, for getting to work, but the closest stop was still pretty far away so he rode his bike to get there. One day after work, exhausted, he put his bike up against the wall of the garage without locking it up. He went back out a couple hours later to find his bike missing. He wasn't able to afford another, so he just walked everywhere for a while. A couple weeks later, my father and I are walking my little brother to school when he sees a homeless guy riding it. My dad ran after him faster than the fucking Flash, and tackled his ass to the ground. He was so damn happy he got his bike back.
