Hello! It’s me again from yesterday. You now, the guy who’s stuck in Yosemite Valley?
A couple days ago Yosemite Valley closed to guests due to the Ferguson Fire, currently at 44,000 acres and only 27%. Air quality in the park has been in the very unhealthy- hazardous ranges, they closed the park to relocate firefighters to another area to try to save houses and a neighborhood in Yosemite West.
This image was shot two days ago, the morning the park closed.
I am a local here! I’ve been living and working in Yosemite Valley for 5 straight years now! If you’d like to see more of my Yosemite photography swing my by website rjfranklin.com or check out my IG @franklinsteinnn! Thank you!
That is actually better visibility than I expected. We were out there last week, and at times visibility was less than 1/2 mile. We ended up bailing at the end of the week and headed to Kings Canyon/Sequoia which was beautiful.

Looks like a Kanye West album cover.
