What an awesome response. Some people are just so nice.

Side note, its generally accepted that Betta fish thrive in five gallon tanks or larger. The more space they can occupy, the better, and the longer they will live. Wild betas will claim at least three square meters of a river to themselves, but they can co habit with other fish; just not other male betas. Please keep them in clean water, with live or silk plants and friendly tank mates. They do need to be kept between 75-85 degrees Fahrenheit, with a low-power filter.

Unfortunately, few people research these little guys before buying them from pet stores.

Myth: Betas do not live in puddles, or shitty water.

This kind of thing also happens frequently over r/trees. I remember that time when a guy posted a petition against the removal of a big, old beautiful tree in his town. People told him the sub he was looking for was r/marijuanaenthusiasts but everybody signed anyway because we wanted to help that dude. I just love that community they’re the best people!
