This really gets to me. A friend of mine, that I've known since childhood has an addiction, ended up going to prison for 5 years. He got out recently & asked his family to help him by getting him to a therapist. He felt like he maybe had ptsd, an other issues that may would send him back to drugs if not dealt with. They told him that all he needed was Jesus & if he just prayed hard enough Jesus would cure him. Shortly thereafter, he relapsed. he's currently back in jail, looking at prison time.
