Absolutely incredible fact about golden moles: they are called "The shark of the dunes" due to the way they 'swim' through the sand.

So, if someone cut off the skin covering their eyeballs would it help them see or hinder their ability to swim through sand?

If the eye is freed on infancy, is there a possibility for the mole to acquire reasonable vision? I know it would probably make it harder for them to survive on a sand setting, but what if they were raised by actual moles?
