I tell literally every woman I date "I'm terrible at picking up hints. If you're upset about something, tell me. If you're uncomfortable with something, tell me. I will do the same; I don't expect you to read my mind and I sure as fuck can't read yours. If you don't tell me outright, odds are I will never know if something I did or didn't do bothered you."
Even saying things like that directly, some of the people I've dated just don't communicate. My engagement ended because she wouldn't tell me when things I did bothered her- big or little. So for fuck's sake tell me. if it's important we can compromise, if it's not I can just stop doing it. Fucking bless my current girl, she lets me know when I do shit right or wrong.
