This actually happened to me in college. Our professor taught a business class structured around a simultaneous reading of a biography of Ben Franklin, but we did not know enough about Ben for the first quiz, so half was literally about the overview the professor had given the first day of his life, accomplishments, and factoids (complete with favorite color- I shit you not). I assume this was supposed to be funny. It was not.
