Some of the most demanding and rude people I have ever encountered were homeless people. Most of them were obviously mentally ill while others just had such an abrasive attitude that they drove people away.
There is very little difference between any race when it comes to that level of interaction. They will use what ever they think will make you give them help or if you refuse (or they think you refuse) they will call you what they think will hurt the most. It's really an animalistic reaction not a rational one.
