I learned to control my impulses when I was in my early 20’s. Texting wasn’t common in high school. Everything was on AIM. So I had to realize that with phone texting, unlike me, some people actually had a life and were living it instead of sitting waiting for a response like a psycho. So maybe just send a message, go about your day, and don’t worry about it. Maybe don’t send 20 texts in a row like a desperate lunatic. Because only desperate lunatics sit staring at their phone waiting for a text notification. Nobody wants to date that.
