One thing I didn’t realize about Central Park when I visited NYC is that it’s fucking huge. I thought I was gonna go there, stroll through the park and just check it out, but I didn’t have enough time or energy to get through the whole thing.

Fred Law Olmsted who designed this park actually had the intention of being able to be in Central Park and feel like you are miles from urban life. He thought it was a good way to reconnect with nature without having to travel far distances. He was a pioneer in terms of parks within urban landscapes and had some amazing ideas when it came to intertwining the city and nature!
