This is the hero 7th grade science teacher Jason (edit)Seaman that disarmed the shooter and was shot 3 times in the process — once in the abdomen, hip, and forearm. He just got out of surgery and is going to be fine. His mom just posted this info publicly to Facebook so I felt comfortably sharing his pic and name. Thank you, Mr. Seaman for saving lives today!

I live in Noblesville. One of the parents with a child in the classroom at the time of the shooting said that the teacher pegged the shooter in the face with a basketball then tackled him and swatted the gun away. That's a pretty Indiana way of disarming someone... Hit them in the face with a basketball.

Here's what I've heard from family+friends (not all confirmed:)

Shooter was a 7th grader who stole gun from his father and shot his girlfriend. Science teacher tackled the shooter and was shoot while tackling him. Bomb threat was called into the high school but has since been relieved.

Take this with a grain of salt as I've learned this through relatives.
