This is why one of the recommended things you should do before you marry someone is to take a long trip with them. It's lets you suss that out early enough to get out before it's too late.
I'll never forget my flight to China where me and some family were the only Americans on the flight. When the plane landed after a god forsaken amount of time the family starts clapping and everyone, I mean everyone had the same wtf face.

I didn't realise people clapped for landing a plane.
