“Shit don’t change until you get up and wash your ass.”

I have severe depression and anxiety. After failing dozens of times and overwhelming myself every time by setting enormous goals for myself bc I thought that was what I "had to do", I scaled back and made one change. Do 100 squats a day, that's it. It has already changed so much for me, physically and mentally.

Make your goals small enough so that you can consistently do them, and don't feel bad about how small they are. All that counts is that you can do them without getting fatigued, and you can eventually increase from there when it becomes your new normal.

today i ran 4 miles non stop. 6 weeks ago i couldn’t run a mile. i think i’ve finally created a successful healthy habit. thanks for this. i’ve been living by this for a few months now. if i want things to change i have to make it happen.
