Missouri man David Robinson has been freed from prison nearly 18 years after being wrongly convicted for a 2001 murder. Robinson was released Monday night after Attorney General Josh Hawley recommended that charges against him be dismissed. There was barely any evidence to tie Robinson to the murder of Sheila Box—there was no physical evidence, and only one eyewitness, a paid police informant, claimed he saw Robinson shoot Box at an intersection. The informant, Albert Baker, later admitted he had given a false testimony in return for $2,500 in cash and expenses. Another man admitted to the killing in 2004, but Robinson remained in prison for an additional 14 years. Before he was freed, Robinson’s brother told CBS News affiliate KFVS that the family would welcome him home with a barbeque. “He’s already called people and has people on standby to make pies and cakes,” Reggie Robinson said. “He’s ready to enjoy it.”

It's funny, in the movies, the second they put the cuffs on the real killer, they open the jail cell and release the falsely convicted guy.
The reality is woefully unjust.

“Another man admitted to the killing in 2004, but Robinson remained in prison for an additional 14 years. “ Is this the kind of system so many people get up in arms defending?. This man has lost more than a decade of his life and there is nothing that can compensate for that. There is a special place in hell reserved for the people who kept this man imprisoned.
