My 1984 Mercedes Benz 300D, 381,000 miles and she’s still chugging along healthy. LED headlights and black trim just to add some personality to the old thing. Bought some years back for 1000 USD.
Take good care of it! I used to drive an 85 with 375000 on it and I regret not buying it from my dad when he sold it. I usually don't agree with cars being posted here because half the time it's just survivorship bias, but these things truly are built for a lifetime of use if you keep up on maintenance.
I had an 83 300d that i sold with 741,000 miles on it. Sold it for what i paid for it 8 years earlier, $2500. Best car i ever owned. Still regret selling it to this day.

The early 80s Mercs are built like tanks. Not the best fuel economy but those engine blocks last forever
