The car had been sitting at the shop I work since I was hired. After a couple years I went out to looked found out it was a '93 turbo. I then noticed it only had 1461 miles on it. Talked to the owner and found out someone had dropped it off in 1999 because it didn't run. They were never able to get in contact with the owner again. Asked if I could get a title for it and purchase it from the shop and they said go ahead. It took about 6 months and I found out in the process that the vehicle was actually stolen from a Toyota dealership in 1993 and had never resurfaced. Got a title, purchased it from the shop for $500 and got it running. Found out whoever it's stolen it had stripped the entire audio system and taken out the harness that has the starter, fuel pump, and Speedo signal causing the no-start condition. I made a new harness, put in a new sound system, put in new seats (because those were stripped as well), changed the fuel pump and brought this gem back to life.
