Most of my family members in rural Tennessee have never eaten food that wasn’t grown or killed by them. They are all dirt poor, extremely generous and always happy. This is my aunts pantry, this is what REAL organic food is.

My grandfather did the same thing. He grew up in West Virginia where he hunted deer for meat and grew his own vegetables. He moved to Tennessee after many years and settled. I would always see his closet of canned foods, and he had everything. Thanksgiving dinner was always made with canned foods from he garden, and it was always awesome. Miss you gramps.

Reminds me of my grand parents rank ass cold cellar. Man I loved that cellar.
