The license plate take out of the shark’s teeth in ‘Deep Blue Sea’ (1999) is the same one found in the tiger shark’s stomach in ‘Jaws’ (1975).

I really like Deep Blue Sea’s entry into the shark genre in films. I found it really cheesy and enjoyable, for some reason that part where the doctor gets his arm bitten off by the sleeping shark always used to get me. Sam Jackson is great in it too. That’s a film that knew exactly what it was and just went for it

Renny Harlin the Finnish director of this movie also puts little nods to Finland in his movies. There's Finlandia vodka in Deep Blue Sea, Finlandia hymn in Die Hard 2, a Finnish flag parachute in Cliffhanger etc
