News briefings and launch commentary will be streamed on NASA TV YouTube.com/NASAJPL/live and Ustream.tv/NASAJPL . (On-demand recordings will also be available after the live events have finished on the YouTube and Ustream pages.) NASA Television Channels are digital C-band signals, carried by QPSK/DVB-S modulation on satellite Galaxy-13, transponder 11, at 127 degrees west longitude, with a downlink frequency of 3920 MHz, vertical polarization, data rate of 38.80 MHz, symbol rate of 28.0681 Mbps, and 3/4 FEC. Thanks for posting/the hard work. I wouldn't be alive if it weren't for NASA. You guys need to figure out a better way to publicise these launches.

I am going to go down to the launch site with the kids in about a half hour. Everything looks good.

I'm a NASA engineer on the InSight Launch team. AMA!

Edit: We just had a successful launch!! Everyone here is incredibly excited. I'm back to answer questions!

Edit 2: The response to this post has been absolutely incredible! I'm working my way through all these questions. Thank you all so much for your support!

Edit 3: Just got confirmation of successful payload separation and initial acquisition of signal. We're officially going to mars!!

Edit 4: With that, my shift is over. Don't worry! I'll get around to the questions I haven't answered yet. But first I need some sleep.
