For the past year, I’ve been sitting under a painting of a man in my university library. I’ve also been researching my family-tree online, where I found a painting of my great (x8) grandfather - Joseph Trapp. The next day in the library, I realised I had been sitting underneath him this whole time.

The odds seem astronomical that you would be researching your family tree while sitting inside a library at your university, only to discover that your ancestor was in a painting hanging above your head for the whole past year. What a cool story! I'm curious ... have you ever written poetry or any other types of literature?

Was his mother's name Elizabeth by any chance?
