This is a touching and accurate depiction of the emotion carried from witnessing a loved one deteriorate, becoming someone else entirely from who they once were. I came across this a while ago and it hit me hard as I am caring for my own mother with Alzheimer's.
This is a stunning portrayal of life near its end. My brother is in the end stages of ALS and is only in his 60's but he looks like he could be 80. Every time I visit him, I sit by his bed and hold his hand. This feels like a photograph of those moments. So many emotions come to the surface.
