Hi y'all! Will Texas get any love on this sub...? Guess we'll find out! Big Bend National Park is a gem, tucked away from most everything in the state and is extremely remote to access. With that being said, it offers some of the most unrivaled and truly beautiful, rugged, and wild landscapes that we have left available to the public.

Right now, the desert is alive and in bloom. Cactus of all species are blossoming and showing off their color! This beautiful bouquet was fortunately right near my campsite and I was really lucky to find it. I hadn't seen any purple prickly pear cactus with this many flowers on it at all, and the fact that this one was right at the foot of the Chisos mountains made it the complete package!

I take a lot of pictures of Texas, if you want to see more you can find me on instagram @pingzer. Cheers y'all, have a good weekend!

*Edit - I do offer prints for anything on my Insta and website (Insta is more up to date), just send me a message and the picture you want I can quote you, thanks!

I really want to visit Big Bend! I live in NYC area, so have to fly to Austin or something and then drive 7 hours each way. Worth the trip?
