As a woman who had to grow up without a male role model, seeing so many men willing to give a random child their time really warms my heart. This is the kind of behavior that so many people dont assume of men, and this is why those people are wrong.

Edit: um wow ive never had a comment blow up as much as this i think, thanks people! If possible I would like to take this moment to say that it bothers me that men are seen as babysitters at best and kidnappers and pedophiles at worst. Ive seen so many people call a man a creeper when he was just with his daughter at the mall or taking his son out shopping. We NEED events like these, we need to normalize the publics view of men and their rolls in childrens lives. I would also like to thank any fathers or just stand up guys for being in a childs life like this! So many children need mentors and you guys are doing the world right.

As a kid without a dad and a mom that worked all day. There were certain skills I wish I learned earlier. Like speaking in public, or at all, I had a huge problem speaking to people in middle school (language barrier/ashamed of my accent) but one social studies teacher took the time from his lunch break and along with his t.a. he watched me practice. Now I’m in college and won my election for secretary for my business club, if it wasn’t for him I would have never started. Thank you Mr. Wolfsky wherever you are
