Its been really sad watching the smaller videogame and card game stores go under in the past decade or so. When I was in highschool there was a LAN center with a double dozen gaming rigs and spots to hook up gaming consoles. The owner would organize tournaments and have overnight "lock-ins" where we all drank way too much mt dew and kicked each others asses in tekken and halo and gears. The same with the card game place, there woiuld be MTG tournies and duel clubs and intense rivalries.

I guess it's how 80s kids felt about the downfall of arcades. It just sucks that future gamers will never get that face to face social interaction. It's one thing to hear the person you beat bitch over voice chat, it's another to see them rage out of the building screaming.
