Yep, so the sliding portion in the front can be extended to meet the lock piece, keeping the pedal down without having a foot on it.

I love how Immortan Joe's dashboard is completely covered with old decals. The level of detail is truly astonishing, the surface of which can only be scratched with multiple viewings.
