Made an entire 1850's outfit. Lots of work, but totally worth it!

I posted on here about the corset I made... 11 months ago...😅 Well, here is the rest of the costume! After working on this on and off for nearly a year, my Victorian ensemble is finally complete! It's been quite the learning experience. Lots seam ripping, hair-pulling, and "screw this!" moments... and in the process I learned so so many new techniques and lots of cool fashion history too! This is my first historical sewing project, and there are many little flaws I want to fix, things I might do differently the next time around... But overall, I'm extremely pleased with how it turned out!

I made all the undergarments, the bonnet, and the main outer garments.

I used Truly Victorian patterns for the outer dress.

The apron was self-drafted. And I followed this tutorial to make the bonnet. 😊

Can't wait to begin my next project!

Wow! Awesome work. Are all of the skirts heavy? You wonder how people functioned in so many skirts! Seriously impressive, well done xx
