As someone who teaches in higher ed I had students start calling out the number of iClickers that fell and hit the hard floor during class. They always had a unique noise different from phones or other electronics.

Where’s the kid that asks the last second question and keeps everyone there longer? While everyone else stares daggers into them.

I always feel bad when the look of utter defeat makes it's way across the professor's face and they just go "alright, we'll stop here, next time..."
