In my home town, there is a point where the Kanawha and Ohio rivers meet called Tu Endie Wei, meaning the mingling of the waters. The rivers don't so much flow together as mingle. When it has rained, you can see a crisp line where the dirtier waters of the Kanawha and the cleaner waters of the Ohio meet. The paint reminded me of this.
