One time when I was in 5th grade in my art class, we were given like 10 or 15 minutes to just draw anything that came to mind. Trouble was, I couldn't think of anything I wanted to draw. All the while, there was this beautiful thing looming in front of me. The TV stand. When the teacher wheeled this baby in front of the class, you knew you were in for something entertaining and time consuming. Time to sit back and relax.
I had my inspiration.
I was meticulous. I used rulers and shading and the perfect colors to match the drab gray and black. Everything was as proportioned as my 12 year old hands could make. By the end, I was proud of my work. I felt I had accurately portrayed something that made me happy. I was kind of crushed when I got my grade back and saw it was like a 70 something.
