Wow, that's impressive!
Reminds me of the Menonnite comp sci professor I had in college that taught c++ by writing it in cursive on the board.
This was in PA, in 2003, mind you. It's not like we didn't have access to computers.

A high-schooler I know once took a programming class. The crazy thing is, people would do nothing but play games on their computer. So, the teacher was forced to teach the entire class without allowing them access to their computers.
