There’s a reason this show feels like the 80s - they try really hard to make it feel that way.

In one of the episodes there are a couple stuffed monkeys on the shelf in his bedroom. When I was born in the early 80's, I was given that exact dark brown monkey as a gift by my uncle. I still have it to this day. The monkey in that episode is the only other one I have ever seen.

Edit - Screw it, I'm gonna get y'all a picture now. I about to drive 30 minutes to the house and 30 minutes back to get you guys a picture of the little fella!

Here he is! https://imgur.com/gallery/Gudyb He has grown weary in his old age!

Edit - Thanks for the shiny shit. I don't know what to do with it but it sure does look pretty. Now my top comment is about how much I love my stuffed monkey! Great

A few years ago, I sold some 80s era TMNT bed sheets on eBay and the shipping address was some prop company in LA. I felt weirdly excited about it, as if I could live vicariously through these old sheets in the background of some movie someday.
