What's the texture of these? Just really thick pancakes? I've always been curious.

if you are curious as to how this is made, you seperate the egg whites from the yolk and beat them till they start forming peaks(basically start looking like whipped cream) then you fold them into pancake batter(basically just use a spoon or silicon spatula to barely mix the egg whites into the batter if you use a an egg beater and over mix you will break the soft peaks) then cook them like a normal pancake. bon apetit! also unban me r/food EDIT: My mistake, you actually want to bake them like you would a souffle, i believe the name for this dish is obanyaki, i'm not sure if OP's pancakes had filling in them though, i believe some obanyaki recipes call for a filling inside, sorry people
