Tbh I’m a bit peeved about the shelter saying his old owners “completely failed him.” They could have thrown him out onto the highway or shot him, but at least they had tried to find him a home and left him with info and food. Of course I wish it hadn’t come to this, and I’d never do this myself, but as someone who has owned a dog who was thrown out of a moving car, I wish that she would have been tied to a tree like this instead...

I have two dogs. I could never ever ever do this.

That being said, thank you, whoever left him there. You didn't shoot him, you didn't beat him, you didn't tie him in the woods to freeze or die.

While it's not acceptable and it's not preferred, we cannot shame people who did what they felt was best. Someone else will see the hatred and think, "well I should just shoot mine."
