Ahead of the Academy Awards, multi nominee Get Out has returned to select AMC Theatres today, with tickets up for grabs for the low, low price of, well, free of charge!

But what’s next for writer/director Jordan Peele? Peele has teased that he’s open to making a Get Out sequel, but it looks like his next will be another original genre film.

“You know, I think it’s important to focus on stories that are true to me,” Peele tells THR. “My next film, I am currently writing it and I’ll direct for Universal this year; I’m just trying to entertain myself again.”

Peele continues, “One thing I know is that this is genre; and playing around with the thriller, horror, action, fun, genre of intrigue is my favorite. That’s my sweet spot. So I think tonally it should resemble Get Out. That said, I want to make a completely different movie. I want to address something different than race in the next one.”

We've watched this guy turn from goofy comedian, to turtleneck wearing Oscar nominated director. To be honest, he looks more comfortable and at home in this new role. I just hope he continues to use his comedic side to his advantage.

An important quote to be noted by Peele,"So I think tonally it should resemble Get Out. That said, I want to make a completely different movie. I want to address something different than race in the next one.”

I'm glad for this because although I loved Get Out, I was afraid that Peele would continue to tackle to same exact themes for his future films and make his filmography seem less diverse, similar to what has happened to Neil Blomkamp.

Key and Peeles sketches were always well written, and shot extremely well. They clearly are film nerds who appreciate what it takes to make a good product.

No surprise at all hes getting praise for Get Out
