Where are we supposed to slaughter them? Going door to door is tedious, other kid rich zones tend to lack the range of demographics, plus, a school provides an environment that is inherently oppositional where everyone you love and hate is in a nice little box of angst and bo. Killing strangers just seems... wrong. Like, you don't even know them.
I am fine if you want to keep schools safe, but you need to offer a reasonable alternative.
