My mom died unexpectedly last year at 63. She spent so much of her life worrying about what other people thought, worrying that she wasn't good enough. She was sad a lot of the time and sometimes difficult to be around because of it. And then poof, she was gone. All that sadness and worry for nothing, so much time wasted by living in the past, being afraid to live life to the fullest. It taught me a helluva lesson about how I want to spend the rest of my life.
