My Boston terrier did this with our first baby. Everyone thought she was going to be jealous. Instead it was love. I still crack up remembering my mom visiting and trying to take a picture of our daughter and our dog attacking her phone. Lol
It's weird how dogs know to do this kinda stuff. My dog does this whenever my brother or sister leave their kids over to spend the night. The oldest one is ten, and the dog still sleeps next to his bed whenever the kid comes over.
My Rottie slept next to my side of the bed from the day I adopted her. 10 years later, she finally changed locations: she slept next to my daughters crib in our room.
She passed away last summer at 11 years old. I'm very happy that she got to meet my daughter. I miss her.
