Just to clear up any questions —
The 11 year old asked for this cake because Stranger Things is her fave show, her mom had no idea what Stranger Things was!
It’s a funfetti cake filled with caramel, the sides & top is vanilla buttercream, black buttercream for the light strings & letters, mini M&Ms for the lights
and yes, REAL eggos (by request) on top. :) And yes, I put them in the oven. Soggy eggos are gross & I did have to wait for these to cool off before putting them on top of the cake, for obvious reasons.
I like my eggos with a nice crispy top, but hey, it’s the birthday girl’s cake, so she gets what she wants!
Being a huge Stranger Things fan myself, I LOVED doing this cake - and it was really simple to make!
