My step-daughter is doing a school report on JK Rowling, and delivering it as Hermione. She doesn't have a wand, so I decided to make her a replica of Hermione's. I don't have a lathe, so I shaped it with sand paper, and carved it with a pocket knife and a Dremel.
I don't care if you ever make another one in your life. What you did for your step daughter is awesome and that's the work of a parent that really gives a shit. My hat is off to you sir. Way too many parents would have just gone 'meh' and driven on. I know it's hard to take props for being a good parent but I can tell you as one proud parent to another I'm seriously impressed. :)
