I've been using guided meditations from the Center for Mindful Self-Compassion, and one of those meditations, called compassionate friend, completely shook my world. You imagine sitting in a safe place and someone comes by, someone who embodies all acceptance and compassion, and they sit down next to you. They tell you all of what you need to hear, and you get to tell them all that you need to say. Then they stand up, say goodbye, and walk away. Then Christopher, the guy leading the meditation says, " now realize that that was already a part of you."

That completely transformed how I treated myself. I had been looking for love and affection from others, begging for rain, while standing next to a well.

Where do I start if I honestly can't remember the last time I felt relaxed? I'm not due I even know what it feels like...
