I work from home, and have for about a decade now.
I had to go to a customer site once (a large corporation you've heard of) and so of course dressed nicely.
On the announcement board at their office they had a big thing about how "this Friday is Sneaker Day! You can wear whatever shoes you want! (Otherwise dress code still applies)"
It just...boggles my mind that a company would give a shit about what kind of shoes (or any type of clothing, really) an adult with a college degree sitting at a desk all day would wear. It's summer and you're wearing short sleeves? Obviously the code you write won't be as good!

It just seems like it would be soul-sucking.

Honestly, it would be a lot hotter if they did start out with perfectly normal clothing and then began stripping. (Or maybe I'm just weird.)
