As I child I got lost from my parents at Circus Circus in Vegas. My thought was they can’t leave without the car, so I walked alone through the parking garage at night and waited at our car.

My dad’s face when he found me an hour later was filled with so much anxiety and relief.

As a parent, I can’t even imagine this happening!

i would tie a balloon to my daughters wrist with a string long enough to show it above adults heads. made it much easier to find her in a crowd.

I got lost in a village in Germany when I was two or three. We were looking at cuckoo clocks and I wandered into part of the store that was actually the owner's house. My parent's didn't realize where I had gone so they looked for me while I was looking at more clocks. The owners realized what happened and sat next me down in front of Sesame Street on the TV. Needless to say they were relieved when they retraced their steps and found me.
