Bought a cheap glass baking dish from a value store instead of buying name brand. $5 dollars down the drain for the pan and $9 for the pork loin. Also, dinner’s ruined. Sometimes it may be better to buy the better quality product.

No idea if this has been said, but in addition to the differences between borosilicate and soda-lime glass, most glass cooking things should only be used as casserole/ soup things. they need liquid in them or something to keep the heating even the whole way through the dish. in a case like this, part of the dish expanded at different rates, thus causing the explosion.
