About the image: after waiting in powerful winds for cold rain to pass and after snow had passed too (hey, no hail that day!!) some sunlight was shortly visible in the openings in the dark stormclouds. Timing the wave action while safely sitting on a higher rock with my remote in hand I managed to capture this long crashing wave, emerging from the gloomy Lofoten waters. The deep colors in the water are amazing and on a sunny day with slightly different weather than this, and especially when you visit one of Lofoten’s white beaches, you might almost think you’re in the Carribean. Until you touch the water that is… Oh, and no palm trees either. ;-)
Tech stuff: D810 + 14-24 mm f/2.8 with f/14 – 1/8 s – ISO 64 – 14 mm , with another exposure with different focal point and exposure time for the background. ND 3 stops filter, remote for timing.
