I did a college research paper on the history of Nintendo prior to their consoles. This would've been their distribution company, Marufuku Nintendo Card Co. Ltd. This company would organize domestic shipments of hanafuda cards all across Japan.

Edit: That poster on the left side of the picture appears to be the portrait of Napoleon that was used on a lot of Nintendo's Hanafuda cards from back then.

it’s really crazy to look at my switch on my table and then look at this photo. I’m sure it would’ve been even more unimaginable to the founder, Fusajiro. will always have buckets of respect for nintendo.
