As the Women's March marches on for a second day, breaking previously held records, women all across the planet are taking part in getting their voices heard in this democracy. From reproductive rights to demonstrating their distrust in the current administration, there is always something to march for in our unequal world.

However, once the marching has ceased and the sun has gone down the march turns from a beautiful show of democratic freedom to a representation of everything wrong with our wasteful society as bags of garbage, used signs and pink hats are being simply tossed to the curb instead of thrown out and recycled.

Not only does this delegitimize our words and our stance but it makes cities wary from hosting other large social initiatives. Ladies, when you're done with your bedazzled sign please dispose of it responsibly. Simply throwing it on the street isn't going to cut it.

I've been told by law enforcement they don't allow cities to put out garbage cans or dumpsters during planned marches and protest rallies. The fear bombers will place explosives in these turning the things into exploding shards of metal doing more damage.

This news needs to be shared with protest groups so people can learn to save or collect others garbage as an added safety measure and prevent the littering.

But do they......no.

I’m sorry to hear this. I was at the Chicago march and i thought it was looking pretty good. We could have used additional garbage bins as it took blocks and blocks before i found one to toss my coffee cup and it was very overflowed.

Also, what is happening in this comment section?

Edit: Comments here are getting so weird. I keep getting notifications to my phone with troll responses but when I come to check them there's no responses here...are the mods just really on top of trolls or what?

As an environmentalist and a feminist, this shit REALLY pisses me off. My friends and I marched Saturday and we brought plastic bags to put in our bookbags, so we could toss the trash in there and deal with it when we got home. It's not hard.
