Same thing kind of happened to me at my friends house. They have two cats, one is really friendly but the other is just shy and scared of everything. Scaredy cat one day came up to me while i was sitting on the ground, jumped on my shoulder, and just stayed there for 30 min, my neck started hurting but he never lets anyone touch him so it was worth the neck pain.
