If I left a note on my car saying I was out all day my house would get burgled, and I certainly wouldn't get a fiver lol. Good guy OP though that was pretty selfless of you, and I like to think karma comes back around.
I live in a part of Athens that is highly congested and which has a fantastic kids park near the sea. It's packed on Saturdays and Sundays. Since those are days I go out with friends and family, just before I pull out of my designated spot, I look for the frustrated woman with kids in the car and tell her that she can have my spot for a few hours. Just seeing the relief on their faces is worth it.
Life pro tip: If someone pisses you off while driving; follow them until they park and leave a note saying it’s ok to block them in because they will be out all day.
