If money is the biggest issue, then yes, you go greyhound. If speed is the biggest issue, you fly. If speed and money, then you fly Spirit and take no bags.

I Amtrak'ed my sister and that wasn't good enough. I never paid for her travel again.

(I couldn't let myself make my sister take the greyhound for 3 days, and I had connections to cheap train tickets at the time. Bitch got a berth and she whined about a free, all paid by me trip to NYC.)
