I'm lucky enough to live next to just such a neighbor. He plows our entire street every snow, and clears the end of each driveway so there's no build up. He's an amazing person, Shout out to all the Joe's of the world.

Guys who buy equipment like that just look for excuses to use them, I'm sure he was having a blast. My dad is the same way.
